In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) tells us, “Fasting is for Me and I reward it.” (al-Bukhari) From this Hadith, we see that Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) will reward us in multitudes when we fast because He Himself has promised us a special reward and the reward of the Most Great must be the best reward possible.

Every week, we are encouraged to fast every Monday and Thursday as Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Deeds of people are presented (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays. So I like that my actions be presented while I am fasting.” (At-Tirmidhi).

Now, as we know the multitudes of rewards that one can receive from fasting, why not try to get the reward of two or more fasting people in one day? Read more »
