Patrick Star, Getting Things Done (gordasm)

Jump to “Read More” and go to the end if you want to see how this can connect with Islam.

A lot of times I struggle to find an exact picture to fit the post. But, I knew immediately this picture is the one.

Make a To-Do list even if that means you make one that says “Nothing” like our friend Patrck the Star here from Sponge Bob Square Pants.

It really is that simple. Once you get into this habit, you’re life will be much easier. Of course it is better to make one that will have something to do on it. But, if writing nothing is what wil help you get into the habit then so be it. Carry it with you in your pocket, wallet, purse, or anything else you use to carry things. You can add to it or check this off as you get things done. Keep it at home if you feel that is easier.

How is this connected with our beloved deen, Islam, that is from Allah and sent to us through the Prophet (saw)? Well, being organized and efficient can easily become something that will be in our favor of the Day of Judgment. As a matter of fact, if you do this with the intention that Allah (swt) and you want to serve him in the best way—you can expect, Insha’Allah, that Allah (swt) will reward you fully and, Insha’Allah, even multiply this deed so many times that you will be surprised to see the Generosity and Mercy from Allah (swt) on a Day when you can do nothing and say nothing without His Will.

I ask Allah (swt) to accept from us all of our deeds—no matter how small. I ask Allah (swt) to protect us from kibr (arrogance) and riya’a (showing off). I ask Allah (swt) to have Mercy on all of us, to Forgive us our sins, to enter us into the highest level of Jannah (Paradise) without reckoning, and to protect us from Hell-Fire. Ameen.
